THE JOB

The company is hiring a District Sales Manager for its SMB / Channel-Centric sales organization in Seattle. This person will lead a team of outside sales representatives focused on new business growth in the SMB market. The role is hands-on and field-oriented, requiring close coaching, rep development, pipeline inspection, prospecting accountability, and local market leadership.

This leader will be responsible for helping reps build territory plans, develop referral relationships, generate new opportunities, and execute consistently in a high-activity sales environment. The right candidate will be comfortable coaching in the field, reinforcing expectations, and creating a culture of accountability.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

Must-have qualifications:

  • Experience leading outside B2B sales reps
  • New-business sales leadership background
  • Ability to coach, train, and develop field sellers
  • Experience managing prospecting activity, pipeline discipline, and rep accountability
  • Strong local market presence in Seattle
  • Comfort working in a high-activity sales culture
  • Ability to lead SMB sales execution

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Payroll, HCM, HR technology, PEO, benefits, or business services experience
  • Experience with ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor, UKG, Heartland Payroll, TriNet, Insperity, Gusto, Rippling, Dayforce, isolved, or similar companies
  • Channel, CPA, accountant, bank, broker, or referral-partner experience
  • Prior success leading teams through growth or market expansion
  • Experience improving underperforming reps


THE BENEFITS

Compensation for this role is expected to include a $110K–$140K base salary, $40K–$60K target bonus paid monthly, and approximately $15K in target RSUs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, FSA options, 401(k), discretionary unlimited time off, potential cell phone stipend, and sales recognition opportunities. Benefits begin the first of the month following start date.
