THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Fire Protection sales professional based in either Portland, OR or Seattle, WA.

This hybrid role—remote with field responsibilities—focuses on specifying fire protection systems for major construction projects such as airports, data centers, EV facilities, semiconductor plants, and higher education campuses. The territory includes OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, and AK.

One day you might be presenting to executives in a boardroom; the next, you could be walking job sites with developers. You’ll work closely with engineering and technical support teams to ensure client needs are met throughout each project.

Success in this role relies on your ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with mechanical engineers and property owners. The company fosters client engagement through informal events like dinners, happy hours, sporting events, and other social outings.


THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 6 years of industrial sales experience, specifically in fire protection product lines
  • Background in manufacturing, construction, general contracting, or engineering is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • A passion for networking and building relationships with customers
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% across the assigned territory (OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, AK)
  • Must reside in the Portland, OR or Seattle, WA metro area

  • Target annual earnings between $156K and $195K (base salary of $120K–$150K DOE plus uncapped commissions/bonuses paid twice per year)
