THE ROLE

An outstanding opportunity awaits a seasoned Fire Protection sales professional located in either Portland, OR or Seattle, WA.

This hybrid role (remote with in-field responsibilities) is centered around specifying fire protection systems for major construction developments—from airports and data centers to EV builds, semiconductor facilities, and higher education campuses. The position covers a territory spanning OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, and AK.

One day you might be presenting to executives in a boardroom; the next, walking job sites alongside developers. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and technical support teams to ensure client needs are met at every project stage.

Success in this position depends on your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical engineers and property owners. The company promotes client engagement through informal events such as dinners, happy hours, sporting events, and other social outings.


THE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 6 years of industrial sales experience, specifically within fire protection product lines
  • Industry background in manufacturing, construction, general contracting, or engineering preferred
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Passion for networking and engaging with customers
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% across the assigned region (OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, AK)
  • Must be based in the Portland, OR or Seattle, WA metro area

  • Target annual earnings ranging from $156K–$195K (includes base salary of $120K–$150K DOE + uncapped commissions/bonuses paid bi-annually)
