THE COMPANY
This organization is a growing provider of office technology solutions serving small and mid-sized businesses. They support companies in improving how they print, copy, scan, and manage documents by offering modern office equipment, short-term rentals, leasing options, and long-term service agreements.
The company operates in a relationship-focused industry where service quality, responsiveness, and reliability are key differentiators. Their approach emphasizes faster support and a more personalized customer experience than larger competitors, enabling them to consistently win business from established vendors.
Currently in a growth phase, the organization plans to expand into additional markets over the coming years. As a result, early team members will have opportunities to take on increased responsibility as the company scales.
THE JOB
This is a structured Management Trainee role designed to develop early-career professionals into successful sales representatives and, over time, future leaders. The program is divided into four stages:
Stage 1: Sales Development Representative (SDR / Appointment Setter)
You will start by learning outbound prospecting, high-volume calling, appointment setting, and introductory discovery conversations. This stage focuses on building confidence, resilience, communication skills, and a foundational understanding of how local businesses use office technology.
Stage 2: Outside Sales Training
You will move into hands-on field training that includes attending customer meetings, learning the full sales cycle, understanding equipment and service offerings, observing competitive replacement strategies, and assisting with proposals and follow-up.
Stage 3: Outside Sales Representative
You will assume responsibility for a territory and manage your own sales pipeline. Duties include conducting in-person meetings, performing needs assessments, presenting equipment and service solutions, building long-term customer relationships, and generating new business in a competitive environment.
Stage 4: Leadership Opportunities
As the company expands into new locations, top performers may be considered for advanced roles such as senior sales representative, team lead, or branch-level leadership. Advancement is based on performance, professionalism, and overall readiness.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate is outgoing, confident, and driven by growth. This individual enjoys meeting new people, maintains a positive attitude in the face of rejection, and is committed to learning the fundamentals of sales. Reliability, consistency, and a strong work ethic are critical.
Candidates with experience in retail wireless, gym or membership sales, hospitality, call centers, automotive sales, door-to-door roles, or early-career B2B positions often succeed in this role. No prior industry experience or college degree is required. Applicants should be comfortable working on the phone, learning new products, following structured processes, and maintaining accurate CRM records.
THE BENEFITS
As the owner continues expanding the Oregon operation to align with existing businesses in other western states, benefits will be added in the near future and are expected to include medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
