Production Manager

Purpose of Position 

To manage all aspects of production, adhering to the provided schedule or communicating variations early. 


Reports to 

Managing Director 


Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with administrative staff to understand schedule priorities and sequence. 
  • Communicate priorities to the workshop floor and troubleshoot any roadblocks. 
  • Update administrative staff, customers, and suppliers on schedule status. 
  • Develop and implement weekly and fortnightly plans for suppliers (painters, transport providers, etc.); communicate and transact the plan. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with the supplier base to achieve excellent outcomes. 
  • Manage trade staff attendance and leave requests. Uphold company policies. 
  • Work with the Managing Director to develop and uphold safety standards and policies. 
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans for key equipment and workshop machinery. 
  • Organise repairs and servicing of workshop equipment. Assess tooling and equipment requests from the workshop floor and source as required. 
  • Partner with the Managing Director to perform trade staff recruitment, onboarding, induction, and skill development to continuously enhance the workforce’s capability. 
  • Facilitate the development of estimates with input from senior trade staff.
