Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator to join the team. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the warehouse, involving the efficient loading and unloading of containers and trucks, palletising goods, and preparing shipments for dispatch. The position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and committed to maintaining the high standards we strive to achieve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load and unload containers and trucks safely and efficiently.
• Palletise goods and wrap them using an automated wrapper to ensure secure transportation.
• Accurately weigh goods in accordance with picking slips and prepare them for shipment.
• Maintain organised and clean work areas, contributing to a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
• Assist with physical labor tasks, including manual handling and the movement of heavy items.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks and meet shipping deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong proficiency in operating forklifts, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
• Forklift license is required.
