Overview:

Our client is a leading supplier of plumbing supplies. We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious High Reach Forklift Driver to assist in our busy warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a high-reach forklift to handle plumbing products, ensuring efficient and safe storage and retrieval of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a high-reach forklift to move plumbing supplies within the warehouse.
• Load and unload plumbing products from delivery trucks, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and other materials.
• Store products in designated locations and retrieve items as needed for orders or restocking.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including counting and documenting stock levels.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
• Work closely with warehouse staff and management to streamline operations.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift licence.
• Proven experience operating a high-reach forklift, preferably in a warehouse dealing with plumbing supplies.
• Knowledge of plumbing products is an asset but not required.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy items.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and move heavy plumbing supplies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to various warehouse conditions, including temperature variations, noise, and dust.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting are required.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
