Your New Role:

Are you an experienced HC Truck Driver and have experience working with oversized loads? H People is representing a leading steel manufacturing company based in Toowoomba, and we are seeking a skilled and dedicated HC Truck Driver to join the team. This role requires proficiency in handling a truck-mounted Hiab crane for the safe and efficient transportation of steel products or willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Heavy Combination (HC) truck for the transportation of oversized steel loads.
• Utilise a truck-mounted Hiab crane to load and unload steel products with precision and care. Training and VOC provided.
• Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck and Hiab crane to ensure optimal functionality.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, fellow drivers, and warehouse staff to coordinate delivery schedules.
• Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately, including logbooks and delivery records.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures during all phases of transportation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid HC or MC truck license.
• Proven experience in operating a HC truck.
• Excellent driving record with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Toowoomba and surrounding areas.
• Willingness to work flexible day shift hours with overtime if required.
