The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient handling of goods within the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching products accurately and safely. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving Goods: Unloading deliveries, checking for damaged or missing items, and accurately documenting received goods.
• Storage: Organizing and storing products in designated locations, ensuring that stock is stored safely and efficiently.
• Picking and Packing: Selecting and packing products according to orders, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
• Inventory Management: Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Quality Control: Inspecting products for quality and reporting any issues or discrepancies.
• Health and Safety: Adhering to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and using equipment responsibly.
• Team Collaboration: Working effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth warehouse operations and providing support where needed.
• Other Duties: Assisting with other tasks as required by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not essential.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks.
• Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
• Technology: Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
