Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager with extensive experience in the caravan manufacturing industry to oversee and optimise our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, managing resources, and leading a dedicated team. This role is crucial to our mission of delivering custom-made caravans that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from planning to delivery.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor and improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Team Leadership:

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Resource Management:

• Manage inventory, procurement, and supply chain activities to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Optimise the use of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
• Develop and manage the operational budget, controlling costs while maintaining quality.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilise lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven decision-making to drive improvements.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
• Develop and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
• Address and resolve any quality issues in a timely manner.

Customer Focus:

• Collaborate with the sales and design teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Participate in customer meetings and site visits as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers regarding order status and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in operations management within the caravan manufacturing industry is required.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimisation.
