As a Tax Manager, you will work in-person as part of a team of professionals who are committed to delivering quality service. The responsibilities as a Tax Manager will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability.
  • Managing staff workflows and redistributing work as needed and delegate projects to staff that can handle them most efficiently.
  • Review and manage tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Non-Profit, Gift, and Multi-State.
  • Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates.
  • Prepare Complex U.S. and Multi-State income tax returns for business entities, including consolidated and non-consolidated C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Fiduciary, and Non-Profit Organizations.
  • Prepare complex U.S. and state individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns.
  • Conduct complex tax research and prepare memorandum outlining findings and conclusions.
  • Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices. Communicate with IRS and clients in connection with audits, inquiries, and tax notices.
  • Sit in Partner meetings with prospective clients.
  • Resolve nearly all issues of Junior, Senior, and Supervisory staff without need for Partner.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college/university.
  • CPA designation and 10+ years of experience in public accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulations impacting each engagement or project, financial markets, analysis, and reporting of financial data.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks; Familiar with Thomson Reuters products, a plus.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented, self-starters, and demonstrate excellent computer, analytical and effective communication skills.
  • Adhere to the firm’s values and code of conduct.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervision experience is preferred.
