Their goal is to find innovative and effective solutions that assist people and organizations to address their challenges and opportunities. They are experienced in the food service industry and are obsessed with helping members grow and prosper, which has yielded millions of dollars in savings and financial returns to their distributor members each year.


POSITION PURPOSE

The Regional Account Manager will provide support to Distributor Members for participation in our client's key programs that will be mutually beneficial while expanding new distributor membership through prospect management and the signing of new Distributor Members. Our client has built an over-the-top customer service culture within their businesses, and this role will continue that ethos by providing exceptional support to advance the growth, profitability, satisfaction, and retention of our Distributor Members.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Distributor Member Growth and New Distributor Member Acquisition

  • Achievement of sales strategy by growing Supplier Partner programs and services. 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with all levels of internal and external Distributor Members, Supplier Partners and Associates.
  • Monitor monthly sales activity, analyze discrepancies and offer new item/category opportunities. 
  • Develop supplier conversion strategies and provide support to brokers, Supplier Partner representatives and Distributor Members.
  • Coordinate communication and new follow-up opportunities with all Distributor Members across all departments.
  • Research and develop target list of prospective Distributor Members, develop a schedule for value propositions, and maintain CRM for accuracy.
  • Provide analysis to prospective Distributor Members for all product/service areas to grow their business and maximize financial return.
  • Provide new Distributor Member conversion targets to all preferred suppliers.


Develop Distributor Member Marketing and Program Participation Plans

  • Assist Distributor Members with marketing plans to help promote their products to their customers and generate incremental revenue for their company.
  • Coauthor Distributor Member incentive programs to maximize sales participation and promote our client's travel incentive programs.
  • Communicate special offerings, identify enhanced allowance opportunities and maximize growth programs.
  • Support member attendance and participation in all programs, events, and promotions.
  • Facilitate regional focus/share group meetings, distributor trainings, regional food shows, or any other activities as needed.
  • Execute the new supplier onboarding process with Distributor Members.
  • Maximize Distributor Member participation in opportunity buys, client's brands, committed volume purchasing programs, and logistics.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of sales & marketing experience in the foodservice distribution industry.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational and project management skills are required.
  • Must possess analytical, results-oriented, self-starter, passion for learning, problem solver, proactive, and self-motivated competencies.
  • Required computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Travel required to attend Golbon conferences, Distributor Member visits and various industry events – approximately 50%.
  • College degree in business, marketing, operations management or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to and including 20 pounds.
