Primary Responsibilities:


Human Resources:

  • Benefit and payroll administration – Manage the regular preparation and processing of payroll for 65+ employees, serving as an administrator for our payroll software platform and internally for employee support. Support the administration of employee benefit programs including enrollment and changes. Assist employees with benefit related questions and issue resolution. Collaborate with benefit providers to ensure accurate and timely administration. (This includes serving as the administrator for medical benefits, dental, vision, 401K, short-term disability, life insurance, and position specific allowances/benefits.)
  • Employee records and documentation – Serve as the administrative recordkeeping quarterback. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records from onboarding through entire employment lifecycle. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements and manage data tracking through regular reporting. Assist with drafting other employment related documents such as offer letters and contract documents as assigned. Organize and manage the timeline for tracking and report maintenance, ensuring timely execution of necessary employment milestones.
  • HR policies and compliance – Manage entire paid time off policy adherence and tracking at the direction of the HR manager (in combination of Payroll administration.) Assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures, mostly relating to the documentation, auditing, and reporting functions. Remain knowledgeable in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations.
  • Recruitment assistance – Assist in the creation and maintenance of Job postings as assigned, to include scheduling and organization of candidates through the hiring pipeline. Coordinate pre-employment documentation and background/reference checks. Facilitate organized communication and tracking for all recruiting and hiring efforts.
  • Assist with employee relations – serve as a point of contact in answering employee questions regarding all administrative HR functions. Support employee engagement initiatives and events.


Executive Assistant:

  • Supporting an ownership team/executive in administrative duties including calendar/email management, , making travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, directly receiving external phone calls, attend meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes, agendas, and presentation materials.
  • Prioritize and oversee special projects assigned by Ownership, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature; gather and organize data to prepare reports for review and action by other

 

 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 products to include calendars, Excel spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • High level of experience with Payroll software (Paylocity a plus) and benefit administration.
  • Generalist level of knowledge and experience in all HR functions for a midsize company.
  • Confidentiality and trustworthiness are non-negotiable.
  • Hold a high standard of professionalism with a polished personal presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Deadline driven work ethic with a strong organizational ability.
