POSITION PURPOSE

The Program Manager will support key client and this particular division in achieving each company’s strategic sales, marketing, and purchasing goals. The essence of this role is to realize the highest level of Distributor Member satisfaction and loyalty, drive foodservice sales growth and enhance the financial return to gain a significant competitive advantage for said client.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


Achieve Sales Strategy and Financial Objectives

  • Develop and prepare an annual plan, which ensures the achievement of budgeted sales growth.
  • Consult with client on all product/service areas to maximize financial return.
  • Negotiate enhanced allowances and trip points at company conferences.
  • Facilitate monthly analytical meetings with Distributor Member ownership/management to review conversion opportunities, 13-month and snapshot reports to improve all areas of financial return: DPA, Volume Incentive, and Growth Incentive..
  • Cultivate strong relationships with all levels of internal and external customers, Supplier Partners and company Associates.
  • Assist with managing client's Regional Partnership Program accounts. Responsible for engagements with customers, Distributor Member partners, and client


Achieve Marketing Strategy and Financial Objectives

  • Develop and prepare an annual marketing plan for client, which includes participation in Premier Club, promotions, Sales Excellence, and Merchandising Excellence.
  • Assist with preparation of and execution at all company conferences.
  • Leverage Pepper e-commerce platforms to increase sales growth and maximize profitability.
  • Manage Digital and Social Media marketing for client (Facebook, Constant Contact, Website).
  • Create sales flyers, Supplier Partner point-of sale and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Design and execute Premier Club promotion for client's sales team.
  • Create and manage client's No Show Food Show including invitations, marketing of events, order entry, Supplier Partner and customer preparation. 
  • Communicate, monitor, and manage all company marketing programs.


Achieve Procurement Strategy and Financial Objectives

  • Analyze and execute Supplier Partner conversions and new supplier onboarding.
  • Assist client in key account calls, program account development, and chair business program development and Supplier Partner negotiation at food shows.
  • Maintain an effective sample program through management of brokers and manufacturer representatives. 
  • Oversee Distributor Member reporting process to ensure our client is receiving timely and accurate information.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of sales, marketing or purchasing experience in the foodservice distribution industry.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational and project management skills are required.
  • Must possess analytical, results-oriented, self-starter, passion for learning, problem solver, proactive, and self-motivated competencies.
  • Required computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Travel required to attend conferences, operator visits and various industry events – approximately 10%.
  • College degree in business, marketing, operations management or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to and including 50 pounds.
