Position Overview:

They are seeking an experienced, skilled and proactive IT leader to oversee and manage their organization's information technology operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft systems (Admin, Azure, Entra, Intune, OneDrive, Defender, etc.), Google Workspace, backup storage solutions, and Ubiquiti UniFi and firewall systems. The IT Manager will also lead a small but growing IT team as well as supporting small IT teams across portfolio.


Core Responsibilities:

• Develop overall & long-term goals and strategies that align with our client's parent company, as well as unique sub-strategies for each portfolio business.

• Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, software/hardware licenses and service agreements ensuring cost-effective and high-quality delivery.

• Ensure operational stability of core systems, networks, cloud services, and business applications.

• Oversee cybersecurity and risk management, implementing policies, monitoring threats, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect the organization from downtime and data loss.

• Identify opportunities for standardization and shared services across portfolio to improve efficiency and reduce duplication of effort.

• Lead IT projects and change initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timely delivery.


Areas of Responsibility:

• IT Infrastructure Management:

o Oversee the installation, configuration, management and maintenance of hardware and software systems, including Microsoft workstations, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace, backup storage solutions, and Ubiquiti WiFi and network appliances.

o Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of all IT systems.

o Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and data security.

• Team Leadership:

o Manage, mentor, and provide guidance to the IT team and Support embedded IT departments of portfolio companies

o Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

o Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

• Cyber Security:

o Develop and implement the security strategy: This includes creating, updating, and administering the overall security strategy and program plan, including policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure these initiatives align with the overall business needs and culture.

o Develop and maintain the incident response plan and managing the response to any cybersecurity incidents

o Proactively stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously refine security strategies and enhance the organization's security posture.

o Work with company leaders to educate and train employees on cyber security topics as part of the security strategy.

• Vendor and License Management:

o Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.

o Maintain and develop relationships with external service providers and vendors.o Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize costs and services.

• Collaboration with Company Leadership:

o Work closely with company leaders to align IT strategies with business objectives.

o Provide technical insights and recommendations to company leadership

o Lead the planning and implementation of IT-related projects that support organizational goals.

o Set and Manage to the IT Budget


Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and across departments/companies.

• Project management – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
