CAE Simulation Engineer

About the Company

Our client is a German engineering firm and IT service provider with over 25 years of experience. The company specialises in advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE), finite element method (FEM) simulations, and customized software development.

They primarily serve demanding industries—such as automotive, aerospace, rail, and infrastructure—focusing on vehicle safety, functional safety, and process automation.

Location and Work Model

Timișoara | Remote

Remuneration:

RON 180,000 to 235,000/year base

Key Responsibilities

• Independent build of meshed FE models according to specifications and reference models
• Plausibility checking and integration of models into runnable simulation models for the K³ representative
• Creation, processing, and verification of evaluations and analysis reports
• Execution and evaluation of parametric studies
• Creation and maintenance of documentation (e.g., simulation results, model changes, build methodologies, etc.)
• Close coordination with K³ representatives
• Future perspective: Opportunity to transition into a Team Lead position in Timișoara

Requirements and Qualifications

• Completed degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar)
• Proficient in using the CAE pre-processor ANSA
• Initial practical experience with FEM solvers (ideally LS-DYNA; experience with Abaqus, Nastran, or Pam-Crash is also welcome)
• Knowledge of Animator, Midas, or Scale SDM is an advantage
• Good programming skills (e.g., Python) are a strong plus
• Independent and structured way of working
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Business fluent in either German or English
