We have client seeking a skilled DBA to manage and maintain their Oracle database systems.
What You'll Be Doing:

Database Software Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database software and related tools.

Database Design & Implementation: Develop and implement database structures to meet organizational needs while ensuring robust security measures.

User Access Management: Create and manage user accounts with appropriate access controls and security protocols.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

Backup & Recovery: Develop, implement, and maintain strategies to safeguard data integrity and ensure quick recovery from data loss.

Security Management: Establish and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive information.

Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance concerns, data corruption, and access problems.

Capacity Planning: Forecast future database growth and storage requirements to support organizational needs.

Team Collaboration: Partner with development teams to support database-related projects and enhance overall system performance.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of database configurations, procedures, and policies.

ETL Pipeline Management: Maintain and enhance ETL pipelines as necessary.
About You:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a solid understanding of database structures, concepts, and best practices.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in database management, SQL, and PL/SQL. Experience with high-availability solutions such as RAC, Data Guard, and ASM is a plus.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex database issues.

Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

Certifications: Professional database certifications are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based database platforms.
- Familiarity with MS SQL, MySQL, and Snowflake databases is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of backup procedures, data recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with performance tuning and database optimization tools.
