We have a client that is growing and looking for a full time Custodial Technician to join their small family-owned janitorial company.

Responsibilities & Duties

Cleaning: Perform tasks efficiently per the company's training system; dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, restrooms, breakrooms, spot cleaning walls and/or carpet, and other duties typical to janitorial work; perform tasks consistently to standards.

Communication: Inform the Supervisor in a timely manner if cleaning responsibilities cannot be performed; verbal call off only, prior to 12:00pm. Inform the Custodial Supervisor of equipment or supply needs. Utilize the Swept app for accurate timekeeping. Speak courteously to clients. At team clean accounts, check in with the Lead Custodian before leaving the building.

Security: Maintain client security by locking exterior doors and windows while cleaning and at the completion of the job, maintain security of all keys and/or alarm codes in the employee’s possession, maintain and respect client confidentiality.

Safety: Work safely and responsibly at all times and adhere to the dress code by maintaining a professional demeanor.

Training: Respond well to supervisor if retraining becomes necessary; assist Janitorial Supervisors in training new Custodians as needed.

Measures of Performance:

• Maintain the Company standard for quality workmanship. Consistently score on TQM’s at “4 - 5” level, unless the contract specifies otherwise.
• Maintain a good working relationship with Custodial Supervisor, other Custodial Technicians and clients.
• Adhere to all items addressed on the Policies and Procedures sheet and in the Employee Handbook.
• Makes optimal use of time during working hours.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions & Qualifications

• This job requires lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs; and will require constant, repetitive motions such as reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, wiping, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and climbing and descending stairs.
• The working conditions are varied and include offices and businesses; local travel is required.
• Ability to listen and communicate with other Custodial Technicians and the supervisor.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields preferred
• Must pass a criminal background check and must have access to reliable transportation, with a clean MVR

Location: Multiple locations in Valley Center, CA

Pay: $19.00/hr - $20.00/hr
