Located in New Hudson, MI, SW North America is a, German owned, technology focused company that supplies machining solutions and automated systems for demanding, workpiece-specific manufacturing companies within the metal working industry. SWNA’s equipment is used worldwide, particularly in the automotive industry, in hydraulics and pneumatics manufacturing, and in many other emerging fields and markets.

The Marketing Assistant Position

The Marketing Assistant supports a wide range of marketing initiatives, including advertising, social media, and general marketing activities. The position manages print and digital ad deliverables, assists with the creation and distribution of e-newsletters and mailers, and develops social media content for company news posts on LinkedIn while updating company profiles and tracking analytics.

The Marketing Assistant ensures accuracy and consistency of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and webpages, while supporting tradeshows, internal events, and customer events. The position manages merchandise inventory, the online employee store, and promotional clothing, and conducts market research on industry trends and competitor news.

Targeted Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of Marketing or related industry experience preferred.
• Creative, results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or on a team under tight deadlines.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and knowledge of Google Ads/Analytics preferred.
• Willingness to travel to for tradeshows required.

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure

This position is full-time, hourly and non-exempt, and eligible for overtime.
