The Fire & Burglar Alarm – Remote Technical Support Position

The Fire & Burglar Alarm Remote Technical Support role works within an end-user oriented remote engineering support team for customer installations, conversions or service or commercial CCTV, interactive alarm, audio, and card access systems. 

 

Key position responsibilities include remote tech support installations of commercial alarm, fire, and card access systems, providing reliable and high-quality remote customer support, remote downloader support for new system installations, upgrades, and additions, measuring and reporting on progress and completion of assigned tasks.



Preferred Experience, Skills & Abilities of the Fire & Burglar Alarm Remote Technical Support Position

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in field install or service and remote technical support
  • Knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access controls
  • Experience in programming of Bosch, DMP and Honeywell fire and security product sites
  • Working knowledge of network communications, IP addressing and local/national codes
  • Must have the ability to read drawings 
  • Brivo, Open Options, i3, Ava, exacq, Milestone, Avigilon, / VMS or other access control certifications preferred but not required 


 

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure of the Fire & Burglar Alarm Remote Technical Support Position

The position is permanent and non-exempt with a competitive hourly wage structure based on skills and experience. This position is full remote. The Company provides a generous benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, 401k, and fully provided company equipment.
