Job Title: Accountant
Job Summary: Infusion Health’s Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. This role serves as the primary accounting lead for the company and requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working in the details of the financials while also supporting leadership with budgeting, reporting, and financial planning. The Accountant will work closely with the company’s external CPA firm and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and supporting operational decision-making in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The Accountant performs a variety of duties such as:
Financial Operations & Accounting
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, organization, and strong financial controls
- Handle AP, AR, general ledger activity, ACH payments, bank reconciliations, and receivables factoring
- Prepare journal entries and manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
- Work closely with external CPA partners on tax preparation, reporting, and audit support
Reporting, Budgeting & Financial Management
- Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and supporting analysis for leadership
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and track operational expenses
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
- Support leadership with financial planning and long-term forecasting
Operations Support & Process Improvement
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and workflows to support efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure timely vendor payments and monitor cash flow needs
- Provide guidance, oversight, and day-to-day support to accounting support staff while serving as a financial resource to internal team members as needed
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Accountant Position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong hands-on involvement in day-to-day accounting operations
- Healthcare industry accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
- Experience managing ACH payments, reconciliations, and receivables processes
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage stress, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with QuickBooks required, experience with WellSky and CareTend preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with leadership
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Classification & Compensation:
The position is full-time, exempt and the pay range varies, depending on experience, skills, abilities, and length of service with the Company. This position is fully onsite at our Ypsilanti, MI location.
