Our Client

Our client is looking for a Front of House / Host Lead to oversee the host stand, manage guest flow, and ensure an exceptional first impression for every guest. For an individual to be successful as the Front of House / Host Lead, they need to bring high energy, enthusiasm, and a guest-first mindset, along with strong communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and natural leadership qualities to guide and develop the host team.


Key Responsibilities for the Front of House / Host Lead Position

·        Lead the host stand and manage overall guest flow, ensuring smooth seating and pacing of tables.

·        Coordinate reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments; handle VIPs, special requests, and large-party arrivals.

·        Train and coach hosts on greeting standards, tone, scripts, and delivering excellent first impressions.

·        Assign and verify host side-work and closing tasks to keep the host stand and lobby ready for the next shift.

·        Communicate proactively with servers, bartenders, and managers to maintain balanced sections, smooth service, and operational awareness.

·        Assist in guest recovery by addressing misquoted wait times, missed reservations, or seating errors with professionalism.

·        Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and fully stocked host stand and lobby area.

·        Provide end-of-shift notes to management, including VIPs served, guest concerns, operational updates, and coverage needs.

·        Support private events, group functions, and transitions as needed.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Front of House / Host Lead Position

  • Experience in food & beverage is required
  • 2 years of experience in a Lead Server / Host Lead or similar role is required
  • Skilled in team training, development, and leadership required
  • Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of industry health and safety standards
  • Software experience with POS, Microsoft Office, and Liquor Control Systems


Compensation & Structure for the Front of House / Host Lead Position

This is a part-time position with an hourly rate of $20-23/hour that offers growth potential within the company. The Front of House / Host Lead reports directly to the General Manager.
