The Company is currently looking for a Project Manager to join its team!
The Project Manager Position
The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned construction projects from contract award through project closeout. Responsibilities include project planning and execution, coordination of subcontractors and suppliers, material procurement and tracking, budget management, schedule development and oversight, change order management, RFIs, submittals, client communication, quality control, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
While the primary focus of this role is project management, the Project Manager may be asked to assist with estimating, bid preparation, and preconstruction activities during periods of reduced project workload or as business needs require. The Project Manager will need to have high aptitude and the ability to state data and measurables on project performance. This position is responsible for overall project success with the support from a financially strong and well-established Company.
The ideal candidate will need to be familiar with job costing, P&L statements, receivables & cashflow to complete projects on time and under budget. This position will also be expected to provide and accept feedback, welcome and adapt to change and challenge the status quo.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the Project Manager
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is required
· 5+ years of Construction Project Management with MDOT specification book experience is required
· Demonstrated experience working on DOT-funded or DOT-regulated construction projects, including the application and interpretation of DOT Standard Specifications for Construction.
· Advanced experience with Excel, Microsoft Suite, and Foundation Software is preferred
· Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are required

The position is full-time and provides a competitive salary, medical benefits, paid time off, and a stable Company environment. This position reports directly to the Vice President and requires an in-office presence at Fonson Company, Inc.’s Brighton office.
