The Site Safety Technician Position

The Site Safety Technician ensures compliance with construction safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while supporting a safe and productive jobsite environment. This role partners with project teams and subcontractors on safety planning, inspections, training, and daily safety initiatives, including toolbox talks, job hazard assessments (JHAs), and oversight of high-risk activities.

 

The position is responsible for maintaining safety documentation, conducting incident investigations, tracking workplace injuries, and identifying corrective actions. This role also performs jobsite inspections, evaluates safety practices, and supports the implementation of proactive safety measures to promote a strong safety culture.

 

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Site Safety Technician

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience required. Experience with a general contractor, specialty contractor, mechanical contractor, or MEP contractor preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 510 certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with fall protection/fall arrest systems and elevated work activities required
  • Experience with confined space entry and excavation/trenching safety.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
