The Controller Position
The Controller leads and manages finance and accounting operations for Merlo Construction, ensuring that accurate and valuable financial data is readily available. The Controller balances a complex understanding of accounting practices, team management and financial planning and analysis.
Collaboration with staff is key to ensuring P&L and WIP reports are monitored in real time and provide accurate data. Key responsibilities include preparation of financial reports, managing banking relationships, and closing out financials appropriately. The Controller position offers the opportunity to be both hands-on and collaborative in the implementation of new processes, while living up to Merlo’s Value Statement of “What got us here, won’t get us there!”
