HR Operations Assistant Position

The HR Operations Assistant supports EctoHR's clients by serving as a trusted resource and problem solver to business owners and leadership teams. A typical day may include supporting client HR processes and workflows, helping evaluate whether roles and responsibilities align with business needs, assisting with hiring and onboarding logistics, maintaining accurate HR documentation and records, helping leaders track accountability and team performance, recommending practical solutions to people and operational challenges, and supporting conversations around organizational structure and team design.

 

This role requires someone who is naturally curious, business-minded, and comfortable asking thoughtful questions to uncover the root cause of an issue. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of HR principles and practices, and is equally comfortable supporting a leadership discussion, conducting research, organizing information from multiple perspectives, and helping the team develop actionable next steps for clients.

 

Under the direction of the Leadership Team, the HR Operations Assistant has the opportunity to make an immediate impact on client organizations and play a meaningful role in helping businesses grow, mature, and scale successfully.

 

Experience, Skills and Abilities for the HR Operations Assistant Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Communications, or a related field is preferred
  • At least two years of experience in an HR support, business operations, administrative, customer-facing, or similar role
  • Foundational knowledge of HR principles and practices, such as employment basics, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand how people, processes, and structure impact organizational performance
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage directly with business owners and leadership teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
