The Assistant Controller Position

The Assistant Controller will work directly with and for the Controller, supporting a variety of accounting and finance related duties. This includes, but is not limited to, account reconciliation, standard entries, AP/AR, inventory reconciliation, maintaining the accounting systems, preparing financial statements, financial reports, and anything and everything else that comes up in the Accounting & Finance area. This position will also participate in WIP meetings and job reviews with Project Management staff.


Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Assistant Controller

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced features of Excel
  • Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be detail oriented with good follow-through and a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
  • Ability to evaluate information and make independent decisions


Compensation & Benefits for the Assistant Controller

The position is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary based on skills and experience and a yearly bonus. In addition, the Company offers Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, along with a generous 401K plan. This position will be based in our South Bend, Indiana office.
