The Controller Position

The Controller oversees a range of accounting and finance-related duties, including account reconciliation, standard journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, inventory reconciliation, maintaining accounting systems, and preparing financial statements and reports. This role also addresses various other needs within the Accounting & Finance domain. The Controller works closely with Operations, frequently participating in Work-in-Progress (WIP) meetings and job reviews to ensure alignment and accurate financial tracking.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, specifically in the Specialty Contractor or Construction Industry
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced features of Excel
• Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to be detail oriented with good follow-through and a sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
• Ability to evaluate information and make independent decisions
