The VP of Operations

The VP of Operations position plays a crucial role in the Company’s strategic processes and collaboration. The ideal candidate will need to be proactive, have the ability to solve problems and make decisions, and be able to foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment.

The VP of Operations role will oversee the Company’s strategic operations including property occupancy, budget, team training and development, and foster partner relationships. Additionally, this position will closely monitor property compliance with government entity needs, identify opportunities for refining internal policies and procedures, implement processes to streamline asset management and watch list properties, and work closely with the leadership team on strategic planning and decision making.


Experience, Skills & Abilities of the VP of Operations

  • Bachelor's Degree in Property Management, Real Estate Development, or a related field
  • 7+ Years of experience in Property Management is required
  • 5+ Years of experience in affordable housing is strongly preferred
  • Leadership experience managing multiple teams is required
  • Software experience with RealPage, Paycore, and Microsoft Suite is preferred


Compensation, Benefits, and Structure for the VP of Operations

The VP of Operations is full-time, permanent position with a competitive base salary based on skills and experience. PK Companies also offers a comprehensive benefits package. This position reports directly to the President of Management.

The recruitment process will include a combination of phone interviews and web-based or in-person interviews, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.
