The HR Director Position

The HR Director leads and manages all aspects of human resources to support the company’s strategic goals and ensure a high performing, engaged workforce. The HR Director manages a talent team that attracts and retains top talent throughout the Company. Additionally, the HR Director provides oversight and mentorship to an HR team of three individuals.

The HR Director lives BB&E’s motto of Better, Faster, Different, and engages in strengthening the vision of being a passionate team of consulting engineers and professionals recognized for delivering solutions to our clients’ most difficult consulting and engineering needs. The HR Director provides oversight to benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training, compensation, compliance, and HR technology.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the HR Director

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of the compliance and reporting requirements for government contractors is highly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred

Compensation & Benefits for the HR Director

The position is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary based on skills and experience. BB&E is an employee-owned firm and offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). The position is in Northville, MI and requires occasional travel to BB&E’s regional offices.
