The Rotary Axis Rebuild Technician Position

The Company is hiring a Rotary Axis Rebuild Technician who will be responsible for completing high integrity rebuilds and testing of electromotor spindles, five-axis direct drive tables, rotary bearing systems, and other integral mechanical systems utilized by the Company. The Rotary Axis Rebuild Technician must also be able to complete detailed reports of teardowns and inspections for the same mechanical systems.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Rotary Axis teardown, inspection, rebuild, test and reporting
  • Assemble components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos and sketches
  • Report writing documenting the findings during a teardown and evidence of a successful rebuild
  • Conduct Rotary Axis rebuild assessments and drawing reviews to determine the required replacement parts for the rebuild
  • Verify conformance of parts to the bill of materials and blueprints using measuring equipment
  • Work in a global team environment as needed to complete complex rebuilds
  • Inspect a returned rotary axis or other high precision assembly along with the shipping packaging and any other included parts at time of receipt
  • Complete any diagnostics testing of returned rotary axes
  • Manage inventory and equipment maintenance
  • Create work instructions for the rebuild of new parts

Targeted Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Rotary Axis Rebuild Technician

  • At least 2-3 years of Rotary Axis rebuild and/or industry experience
  • Proficiency with PC’s and Microsoft products
  • Team oriented with the ability to work independently to complete tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to speak German preferred
