The Quality Engineer Position:

The Quality Engineer will ensure the high standards of our products and processes by implementing and maintaining effective quality control systems. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to documented quality processes and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and maintain quality system processes, procedures, and documentation for compliance with the DSC quality manual.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards, including completion of customer surveys and pre-production documentation.
  • Analyze production processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and document and resolve issues through corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal and coordinate external audits to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards.
  • Collect and analyze issue log data to lead cross-functional teams in addressing and resolving quality concerns.
  • Train DSC staff to ensure a shared understanding of quality standards and requirements.
  • Develop and administer a preventative maintenance program to enhance product quality.
  • Oversee the administration of the DSC safety program.

 

Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Quality Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • At least 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and quality tools (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC)
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO standards
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
