About the role

ClearScale is looking for a SDET Engineer to participate in a large-scale cloud migration project. We are hiring for a project with a goal of migrating a large customer-facing project from  on-premises data centers to AWS cloud. You will become a member of a large engineering team that is responsible for massive refactoring of monolithic applications, deploying dozens of microservices and ensuring quality of the entire product in AWS cloud.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure quality standards
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to adapt and develop testing suites for cloud environments.
  • Create fully automated test suites as part of a dynamic engineering team
  • Design and execute functional and performance testing for microservices
  • Communicate project-related issues effectively with ClearScale team and customer


Mandatory Qualifications and Skills:

  • Practical experience in building end-to-end automated test suites for both large applications and microservices
  • Experience in building testing suites for REST APIs, streaming (e.g., Kafka, SQS), and caching (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis).
  • Proven hands-on experience in Javascript or Python for functional and load testing, with Postman
  • Familiarity with automated functional testing tools, specifically Cucumber.
  • Hands-on experience with test containers
  • Proficient in using load testing tools, such as JMeter.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, with the ability to integrate testing suites into CI pipelines for both functional and performance testing.
  • Strong self-management skills.
  • English proficiency at a B1+ level, with the ability to conduct technical calls with a US-based team.



Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in C# is a significant plus
  • Experience with .NET unit testing libraries
  • Hands-on experience or theoretical background in AWS
