Job Title: Stores Operative - Shift Pattern

Location: Bryn Lane, Wrexham, LL13 9UT

Type of Employment: 12 weeks temporary to permanent (9-week ‘probation period’ of the temp contract then they will be offered a permanent position)

 

Pay/Salary: £27,954/annum, Hourly rate changes with shift pattern

·       4 on, 6 off Days & Nights - £18.23/hour

·       4 on, 4 off Days & Nights – £14.59/hour 

·       Start Date: ASAP


Working Hours/Shift Pattern:

·       The new hire will be on day shifts initially for a training period from start date for around 4 weeks before they start working on the rota shift pattern

·       Training period will be 6am - 6pm Monday - Thursday, 1.5 hour break per day, 10.5 hours paid while training. 4 on 3 off, pay rate will be £12.76/hour during training

 

Main duties & responsibilities:

·       Booking in, goods receiving, booking out, signing off necessary documentation

·       Unloading deliveries as required, no heavy lifting unless with aid 

·       Assisting the engineers on site a trade counter area who request goods/stock

·       Update systems and serve customer as required

·       Stock counting

·       Storing goods when received

·       Updating IT systems, customer and EOS systems

·       General housekeeping in stores area adhering to health and safety

·       There will be forklift training provided.

·       Using counterbalance FLT to transport and organize stock as required

·       Your day shift duties will involve more around dealing with customer queries and customers at the trade counter.

·       Night shift will include more stock counts than day shift.

·       At the end of each shift you will need to hand over with other storeman

·       Full, uniform and PPE provided. Hairnet, laundered uniform (washed on site), safety specs, ear defenders, hi vis, safety boots

 

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

·       Basic competent IT literacy skills - professional email correspondence and use of MS Office for data entry - able to adapt to ERP systems on-site

·       Good communication skills to interact with the customer on site and support with their requirements

·       Stores/ Warehouse experience

·       Counterbalance FLT Experience and/or active license is desirable but not essential, full training or refresher courses can be provided for those with in-house, expired licences or no prior FLT experience.

·       Must be willing to undergo FLT training to include in daily duties as required
