This Fire Extinguisher Engineer position is field based across London, Kent and the surrounding areas. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30. The role is permanent and paying up to £38,000 depending on experience, with an excellent benefits package. There is overtime available and a higher OTE.
As the Fire Extinguisher Engineer, you'll play an important role in keeping people and premises safe by installing, servicing, inspecting and maintaining a wide range of fire extinguishers across customer sites. You'll carry out routine inspections and functional assessments, complete repairs and component replacements, and ensure all equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational. You'll provide customers with clear technical advice on fire extinguisher requirements, maintain accurate electronic service records and work closely with clients, site managers and internal teams to ensure a professional and reliable service.
You will need:
- FIA certification or BAFE Fire Extinguisher Maintenance qualification
- Previous experience installing, servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers
- Strong understanding of UK fire safety regulations and relevant industry standards
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to life-safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good IT and administrative skills, with the ability to complete accurate service reports and documentation
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between customer sites
