HGV Driver Class 2

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering materials from the branch to local customer using both a HGV and van. You will utilise a HIAB (previous experience not essential) for loading and unloading of materials. This is a multidrop position which will involve making around 14 drops per day to customers in and around the Oban area. Your main duties will include…

·      Safe loading and unloading of the vehicle using the HIAB

·      Maintenance checks on the vehicle and the HIAB

·      Providing customers with proof of delivery and ensuring paperwork is passed to the office

·      Face to face customer service with customers

·      Occasional work in the yard when not out on delivery

HGV Driver Class 2

The Candidate

You will be an experienced driver with the following skills, qualifications and experience…

·      Must have a class 2 driving licence

·      A maximum of 3 points

·      Up to date CPC

·      A minimum of 12 months experience driving a class 2 HGV

·      Experience with HIAB is beneficial but is not essential

·      Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

·      Must be willing to carry out some work in the yard when not delivering
