Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location: Borrow-in-Furness

Salary: £28,700


Fixed term contract until September 2026


Our client is currently looking to hire an experienced HR Coordinator to join the team on a fixed term 6 month contract. An excellent opportunity to work in a thriving team, who deliver outstanding advise and guidance to the business. Ideal candidate will be minimum CIPD level 3 qualified, available to commence ASAP.


Core Responsibilities

  • Manage staff lifecycle administration, including starters, changes, leavers and maintenance of accurate HR/Payroll records (ITrent).
  • Oversee absence management processes and produce required HR reports for auditing and analysis.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, induction delivery and provide HR system training to staff and managers.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects, committees and general HR team tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Equality & Diversity, Prevent, Safeguarding and employment legislation.
  • Act as an ambassador at events and support wider HR initiatives.


Key HR Administration Duties

  • Prepare and issue offer letters, contracts, payroll forms and maintain HR action spreadsheets.
  • Process contract changes, pay changes, IT access requests and leaver administration including final pay calculations.
  • Liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely information for monthly deadlines.
  • Maintain budget records and process orders for the Head of HR.
  • Record absence data, produce monthly starters/leavers/changes reports and maintain audit-ready records.


Specialist Functions

  • Act as team lead for ITrent, providing operational support and training.
  • Coordinate Health Surveillance processes with managers and the Health & Safety team.
  • Support absence management casework and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to the HR Administrator on administrative tasks.


Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures remain up to date and aligned with legislation and best practice.
  • Prepare for audits, stay up to date with employment law changes and ensure correct pre‑employment checks
  • Ensure all staff receive accurate information on terms and conditions during induction.
