Vehicle Technician – Bolton

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE

Hours: 42 per week

• Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)
• Alternate Saturdays: 8:30am – 12:30pm

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly, supportive team in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of vehicles, from petrol and diesel cars to light and commercial vehicles. The role is focused on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, with safety and customer satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
• Conduct MOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Support fleet servicing and roadworthiness checks

Skills & Experience

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in any of the following areas:

• General vehicle maintenance and repair
• Engine diagnostics and electrical systems
• MOT testing and inspections
• Fleet maintenance and servicing
• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems
• Vehicle bodywork and light fabrication
• Experience with heavy or light commercial vehicles (desirable)

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, IMI or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
