We’re supporting a leading Portsmouth-based manufacturer supplying high-quality electrical and electronic components to global markets including aerospace, medical, industrial, automotive and defence. With continuous investment in specialist machinery and growing production demand, this is a great time to join the team.

What’s the role all about?

As a Production Technician, you’ll set, run and maintain a wide range of special-purpose automated machines across key departments. You’ll play a crucial role in keeping production running smoothly 24/5, ensuring products meet strict quality and specification standards.

You’ll receive full training, mentoring and the opportunity to cross-train in additional areas to support business needs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Operating automated machinery to meet production targets
  • Interpreting technical drawings to ensure all components meet specification
  • Visual checking of parts and ensuring no defects or quality issues
  • Working to EN9100 quality standards
  • Supporting machine running, basic troubleshooting and setup
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and high-performing production environment

This is a role for someone with strong attention to detail, great manual skills and a willingness to learn and develop.

What you’ll need

To be successful as a Production Technician, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience working with automated machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong manual skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to high quality standards
  • Good timekeeping and reliability
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Confidence working to production targets
  • A positive approach and the ability to work as part of a team

Full training will be provided — you just need the right mindset and mechanical awareness.
