The Role
Working in and around the company’s main warehouse in a ‘hands-on’ role the Warehouse Operator uses manual handling, a variety of vehicles and computer systems to enable smooth flow of parts and materials from purchase receipt, through storage and supply into the factory for work. The main tasks include…
· Unloading incoming goods using counterbalance FLT
· Opening deliveries ready for inspection
· Unpacking deliveries post inspection
· Sorting used packaging for recycling
· Quantity checking
· Packing parts and materials in storage units
· Loading storage units into racking
· Retrieving storage units when parts and materials are needed
· Preparing unloaded items for internal distribution
· Internal distribution of parts and materials

The Candidate
You will be an experienced warehouse operative with the following skills, experiences and attributes…
· A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
· Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers.
· Computer literate.
· Competent in operation of all the counterbalance & VNA vehicles.
· Ideally you will hold a valid counterbalance licence but this is not essential
· Comfortable with working at heights and safety escape procedures in the warehouse.
· Comfortable with manual handling of parts and materials in line manual handling operations regulations
