Senior Communications Manager

Hawthorne Recruitment is partnering with a prominent Canadian organization to recruit a strategic and impactful communications leader.

We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead corporate messaging and storytelling across all channels. Reporting directly to a senior member of the executive leadership team, this pivotal role is based in Halifax, NS, and requires regional travel and occasional travel to other locations across Canada.  You will play a critical part in aligning communications strategy with the organization’s strategic goals.

As both a strategist and a hands-on implementer, you will manage internal and external communications, lead media relations, and navigate crisis and change communications with confidence. You will also champion our corporate social responsibility standards, collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and resonates with diverse audiences while reflecting the organization’s values and business priorities.

This opportunity is ideal for a communications professional with at least five years of experience, including two or more in a leadership capacity. You excel using digital tools and analytics, drive campaigns from ideation to execution, and are skilled at cultivating strong relationships with internal teams, media, and other stakeholders. 

You bring a blend of emotional intelligence, creativity, and strategic insight, with a proven talent for crafting compelling messages that connect with people.
