Marketing Manager

This is an established and central role on SmartSkin’s marketing team, responsible for leading the campaigns, events, and sales support that help turn market interest into a qualified pipeline.

Most of SmartSkin’s engineering and production activity happens in Atlantic Canada, while its commercial presence continues to grow across major centres in North America and Europe.


The Opportunity


This role keeps SmartSkin’s demand engine running and sharpens how the company shows up where it counts: in front of customers, at industry conferences, and across the campaigns that build qualified pipeline.


You will step into a proven seat on the marketing team and run it with ownership.


A significant part of the mandate is events. You will coordinate SmartSkin’s presence at sales conferences and industry trade shows, ensuring the sales team arrives prepared with the messaging, materials, demos, and follow-up plans needed to convert opportunity into action.

Working closely with the broader marketing team, Sales, and Customer Success, you will help ensure every marketing activity is tied to pipeline, customer engagement, and revenue growth.


What You’ll Do


Demand Generation & Campaign Execution

  • Execute SmartSkin’s marketing and demand generation strategy across pharmaceutical, beverage, and food markets
  • Run integrated campaigns that generate awareness, engagement, and qualified leads
  • Manage campaigns end to end, including testing, tracking, reporting, and optimization
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist on campaign distribution across digital channels and marketing automation platforms
  • Turn performance data and market insight into recommendations that improve results


Events & Sales Readiness

  • Coordinate SmartSkin’s presence at sales conferences, trade shows, and industry events, from planning through execution
  • Prepare the sales team to succeed on site with clear messaging, materials, demos, and talking points
  • Build pre-event campaigns that attract the right audience and post-event follow-up that converts interest into pipeline
  • Own event logistics so the team can stay focused on customers and commercial outcomes


Account-Based Marketing

  • Build and run ABM programs for priority accounts across SmartSkin’s target industries
  • Partner with Sales to identify high-value targets and tailor outreach accordingly
  • Personalize content and messaging for named accounts, buying groups, and key decision-makers


Webinars & Case Studies

  • Plan and produce webinars from concept through promotion and follow-up
  • Develop customer case studies and success stories in collaboration with subject matter experts and clients
  • Build repeatable formats that can scale across markets and campaigns


Content & Sales Enablement

  • Support the creation of sales decks, collateral, and customer-facing materials
  • Equip Sales with the messaging and assets needed at each stage of the funnel
  • Keep enablement materials current as positioning, products, and market needs evolve


Performance & Collaboration

  • Track campaign and pipeline metrics, including MQLs, conversion, and contribution to revenue
  • Report clearly on what marketing is contributing, what is working, and where performance can improve
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to align marketing activity with pipeline goals


What You Bring

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on demand generation, campaign management, or related work
  • A track record of running integrated campaigns that generate qualified pipeline
  • Hands-on experience coordinating events, conferences, or trade shows, including supporting sales teams on site
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Salesforce Account Engagement, Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce CRM, or comparable tools like HubSpot and Marketo
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing and how to engage target accounts
  • Comfort with data, reporting, and campaign optimization
  • Strong project management skills, sound judgment, and reliable follow-through
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a growth-oriented environment
  • Experience in technology, science, industrial, manufacturing, or other technically complex sectors is strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting global markets is an asset


Location


SmartSkin’s head office is in Fredericton, New Brunswick, which is the preferred location for this role.


Candidates based elsewhere in Atlantic Canada will also be considered. Occasional travel to Fredericton is expected, particularly during onboarding and at key points of in-person collaboration. Travel to industry conferences and events is also part of the role.
