Your Role and Responsibilities
In this highly visible, strategic, and externally focused role, you will:
● Lead the cultivation and stewardship of major gifts to support the YMCA’s five-year fundraising campaign and broader development efforts.
● Collaborate with the CEO, Chief Development Officer, board members, and internal teams to drive a culture of philanthropy.
● Design and execute strategies for major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and donor stewardship.
● Represent the YMCA at community events, donor meetings, and networking opportunities to build strong relationships.
● Oversee donor recognition initiatives that inspire continued and increased giving.
What You Bring
● Education & Experience: Post-secondary education in business, communications, or related fields, with 5+ years of progressive development/fundraising experience.
● Fundraising Expertise: Proven success in major gifts fundraising, capital campaigns, and donor engagement strategies.
● Leadership & Strategy: Strong organizational, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in donor management systems (e.g., Donor Perfect) and a deep knowledge of ethical fundraising practices.
