Director of Content & Partnerships

Our client is a well-capitalized, high-growth startup and is redefining the digital out-of-home (DOOH) media space with an innovative approach to immersive advertising.

They are seeking a Director of Content & Partnerships to shape and scale its screen-native content strategy across a dynamic digital out-of-home (DOOH) network.

This hybrid role in New York City sits at the intersection of content strategy, operational execution, and high-impact partnerships, offering the chance to work alongside top media, entertainment, and technology brands.


The Role:

  • Develop and manage content partnerships across news, sports, entertainment, and creator platforms.
  • Oversee the end-to-end content pipeline, including ingestion, QA, formatting, metadata tagging, and scheduling.
  • Operate and optimize CMS and scheduling systems (e.g., Broadsign, Scala, Vistar Media).
  • Build editorial calendars aligned with audience behaviors and time-of-day strategies.
  • Ensure brand safety, technical standards, and compliance across all content.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to integrate content strategy with campaign goals.
  • Track and analyze content performance metrics, such as engagement, dwell time, and impressions.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing content operations team.
  • Stay ahead of DOOH content trends and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Support go-to-market planning, legal approvals, and creative execution for media activations.


About You:

  • 8–12 years in digital content strategy, media partnerships, or DOOH media operations.
  • Background in DOOH, streaming, digital publishing, or experiential media is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage IP/licensing agreements and scale content pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with digital signage tools (e.g., Broadsign, Scala, Vistar Media, Spectrio).
  • Deep understanding of media file specs, rights management, and scheduling logic.
  • Operationally focused, with a builder’s mentality—comfortable rolling up your sleeves.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating across creative, legal, and commercial functions.
  • Balance of creative instinct and technical discipline in content strategy.
  • Familiarity with ad-supported content models, digital rights, and multi-screen delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or equivalent experience preferred.



Compensation: $140k - $170k base
