Senior Director, Digital & Programmatic (Political / Persuasion)
Fully Remote | Election-Cycle Role | High Impact
We’re partnering with a lean, high-output political media firm to hire a senior-level digital leader who can own persuasion buying end to end during an active election cycle.
This is not a layered agency role. You’ll take the brief, build the strategy, define audiences, execute hands-on in platform, optimize in real time, and work directly with clients. If you thrive in fast-moving, high-stakes environments and want real ownership, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Do
- Own digital strategy from brief through execution for persuasion campaigns
- Design audience segmentation and targeting frameworks
- Execute hands-on across programmatic and CTV (DSP experience required)
- Reallocate budgets and optimize performance in real time
- Translate performance into clear insights and reporting
- Act as the primary digital point of contact for clients and internal partners
Channel mix is heavily digital, with a strong emphasis on programmatic and CTV.
Ideal Background
- Senior-level digital planner/buyer (Director or Senior Director)
- Experience with political persuasion, advocacy, or public affairs strongly preferred
- Deep programmatic + CTV expertise; ability to own both strategy and execution
- Strong DSP operator (Trade Desk experience highly preferred)
- Comfortable building strategy independently and moving fast under pressure
Non-political candidates may be considered if they bring exceptional programmatic/CTV depth and can step fully into strategy ownership.
Must-Haves
- Proven ownership of digital strategy (not just execution)
- Hands-on DSP experience
- Real-time optimization discipline
- Comfort operating in high-pressure, cycle-based environments
- Experience with or exposure to persuasion-driven campaigns
Compensation & Structure
- $150K–$200K annualized base
- Prorated through the 2026 election cycle
- Fully remote
Cycle reality:
Expect heavier hours during campaign build and a significant sprint leading into Election Day, followed by a true post-election unwind. Transparency and alignment on expectations are core to this role.
Why This Role

- Direct ownership with no bureaucracy
- High visibility across major races
- Strategic and hands-on—your decisions directly shape outcomes
This is not traditional agency campaign ops.
