Account Strategist - B2B AI Brand Visibility

Location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: $135K to $165K base +

About Our Client

Our client is a small, fast-moving AI startup that helps brands understand and shape how AI assistants and answer engines represent them at the moment of discovery. Its platform goes beyond monitoring to predict how AI answers will shift and help brands act early.

The Role

This isn’t a traditional Customer Success role. The Account Strategist works like a strategy consultant with a commercial mandate. You’ll own a portfolio of enterprise brand clients, set each account’s strategy, and act as a trusted advisor to CMOs and senior brand leaders.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the strategy for enterprise accounts, including a rolling 90-day plan tied to launches, release calendars, campaign windows and market shifts
  • Own the client relationship after the sale: kickoffs, weekly working sessions, quarterly reviews and executive briefings
  • Decide what the platform deploys for each client, when and why, and align the work with engineering
  • Drive account expansion and growth, with a soft quota on net new ARR across your book

What You Bring

  • 4 to 6+ years in a client-facing strategic role, such as management consulting, brand or marketing strategy, agency account leadership, or outcome-accountable enterprise customer success
  • A track record of growing accounts through revenue expansion or net revenue retention you can clearly explain
  • Experience working directly with CMOs or other senior marketing executives
  • Fluency in AI-driven discovery (AI search, LLMs, answer engines), or the ability to get fluent quickly
  • Strong comfort working with data and technical teams. You can read a dashboard and turn it into a recommendation. You don’t need to code.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to turn data and complexity into a clear executive-ready argument

Nice to Have

  • Experience in adtech, programmatic, agency or SEO/GEO
  • Experience in film, entertainment, consumer or other launch-driven categories
  • Early-stage company experience building process from scratch

Why Join

  • Help shape a new category at the intersection of AI and brand marketing
  • Partner with senior leaders at some of the world’s most ambitious brands
  • Join a small, high-impact team where your decisions directly influence company growth
