Director of Marketing

We’re hiring a hands-on Director of Marketing for a high-growth B2B SaaS company in the AI / commerce space. This is a team-of-one role for a true startup marketer who thrives on ownership, speed, and execution.
This role reports directly to executive leadership and has a clear path to Head of Marketing for someone who delivers.
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has 8+ years of hands-on B2B SaaS marketing experience
- Has owned demand generation and pipeline, not just brand or content
- Is equally comfortable setting strategy and executing day-to-day
- Has operated as a solo or very lean marketing team
- Enjoys building processes, playbooks, and infrastructure from scratch
- Prefers doing the work over managing large teams
- Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments with real accountability
This is not a role for someone looking to inherit mature systems, large teams, or a slow decision-making environment.
What You’ll Own
- End-to-end demand generation across paid and organic channels
- Website messaging, SEO, and conversion optimization
- Product messaging and positioning
- Core content creation (website copy, case studies, sales collateral)
- Marketing performance tracking and reporting
- Rapid testing and experimentation across channels
What Matters Most
- Strong background in SEO, content, and performance marketing
- Proven ability to generate pipeline in lean environments
- Comfort working closely with Sales and executive leadership
- Highly self-directed, metrics-driven, and outcome-focused
Location & Compensation

Location: Bay Area preferred; remote considered for the right candidate
