The Role

As Executive Sales Director for Financial Services, you will own and grow the most strategically important vertical on the platform. You will build a category from a position of genuine audience strength — bringing major financial brands into a media environment their targets already trust and read closely.

This means direct accountability for revenue growth, but also real commercial influence. You will shape how the platform goes to market with financial services advertisers, help define what partnership looks like in this category, and operate with significant autonomy inside a fast-moving, entrepreneurially minded leadership team.


What you will own:

  • Revenue growth and category expansion across Financial Services, with full P&L visibility and no territorial ambiguity
  • Strategic partnership development across banking, wealth management, asset management, fintech, investing, corporate reputation, and adjacent sectors
  • The full sales cycle — from senior relationship development and prospecting through to close, renewal, and expansion
  • New market identification and opening, including white-space categories and emerging advertiser segments
  • Cross-functional collaboration with executive leadership, commercial strategy, creative, and editorial teams
  • External representation of the brand at the most senior levels of the financial services advertising market

You have built books of business in premium media, financial information services, publishing, or adjacent environments. You know how to develop a category, not just work one. You are the kind of seller who wins by making the strategic case, not by discounting.


Specifically, you bring:

  • 8+ years of digital media sales experience with a consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets
  • Deep existing relationships across Financial Services advertisers, agencies, and senior marketing decision-makers
  • Experience in premium media, subscription publishing, financial information services, or comparable environments
  • A builder's orientation — you have opened new markets, created partnerships from scratch, and grown categories others had not fully developed
  • Executive presence and a consultative approach grounded in relationships, not transactions
