About the Role

KBC Global Services is looking for two senior backend developers to strengthen their team supporting the Capital Gain Tax systems. The selected engineers will work on a mainframe-based environment, primarily using EGL and Cobol, and must be familiar with the KBC internal platform.

This is a high-impact role involving core software development, technical testing, integration, and deployment within a structured Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze functional specifications and translate them into technical backend solutions.
• Design and develop backend components using EGL and Cobol.
• Write, execute, and support test cases (unit, integration, regression, UAT, E2E).
• Conduct code reviews (self and peer) and resolve incidents or defects.
• Follow KBC coding, deployment, and security standards.
• Document technical designs and APIs.
• Manage technical integration testing for interfacing applications.
• Provide production support and maintain technical quality.

Technical Skills Required

• Cobol
• EGL (Enterprise Generation Language)
• DB2
• Experience with the KBC platform is mandatory
