SENIOR TEST MANAGER/COORDINATOR
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Senior Test Manager/Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all test activities within the project. This includes budgeting, planning, organization, execution, and reporting on all test levels (including unit testing) and test types (including non-functional testing). The role requires the creation of key deliverables such as the Master Test Plan, test schedules, progress reports, and final reports, while ensuring the overall quality of the system or project under test.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the project leader and product owner to define test objectives and expectations.
- Ensure the availability of necessary testing resources, data, and environments.
- Communicate effectively on all test-related matters within the project team and with IT Release Management.
- Implement agreed-upon testing methodologies and best practices.

Develop and maintain the Master Test Plan.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor both IT and Business Test activities and resources.
- Manage the test team responsible for test preparation, execution, automation, and performance testing.
- Track test progress and report on system/project quality and defect status.
- Conduct post-test evaluations and document lessons learned.

Advocate for a shift-left approach in testing responsibilities and competencies.
- Drive the transition towards a more agile/hybrid testing methodology.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Higher education degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall).

Strong knowledge of test design techniques and methodologies such as ISTQB, TMap, STBox, CAT/CASTP.

Experience with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr Enterprise preferred).

Proficiency in test automation concepts and tools (Tricentis Tosca, Neoload for performance testing preferred).

Understanding of ITIL processes.

Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Risk Management.

Experience in infrastructure projects or solid knowledge of the infrastructure domain.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Background in insurance business processes or a strong willingness to develop knowledge in the insurance sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a test analyst/tester.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a test coordinator/manager leading multiple simultaneous small projects or one large-scale project.
PROJECT DETAILS & CONTRACT INFORMATION
Location: Brussels or Antwerp (partial remote work possible)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Channels – Customer & Distribution (50%)
- Establish test structure and organization within the department (e.g., define test types and test phases).
- Initiate and manage test phases.
- Oversee and coordinate testers.
- Provide regular reporting.
- DORA Compliance for the Portfolio (50%)
