We are seeking a skilled Embedded System Engineer to join our team focused on the design, development, and validation of advanced embedded hardware and software prototypes for Defense and Aerospace applications. This role requires solid expertise in both hardware and software development, combined with hands-on experience working on sensor integration and real-time embedded systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and develop embedded hardware and software solutions for Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) systems, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture and performance requirements
· Model and implement real-time correction algorithms to enhance sensor accuracy and system performance
· Develop PCB layouts, FPGA code (VHDL), and embedded software (C/C++ with RTOS) tailored for sensor integration and real-time data processing.
· Perform analog circuit simulations (e.g., sensor signal conditioning) using tools such as LTspice.
· Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, prototyping, software, energetic materials) to optimize embedded system integration and validation.
· Generate and maintain technical documentation including requirement specifications, test plans, and traceability matrices.
· Manage subcontracting activities and provide technical support throughout development phases.
· Support integration, verification, validation, and qualification (IVVQ) efforts focusing on system performance and reliability.
PROFILE
· Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification
· Minimum 5 years of experience designing embedded hardware and software solutions
TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Expertise in embedded software development (C/C++, RTOS) and hardware design (PCB, FPGA with VHDL)
· Practical experience with IMU sensor technologies, signal conditioning, sensor fusion algorithms, and real-time data processing
· Comfortable with spatial geometry concepts such as coordinate frames, axis references, and rotation matrices
· Familiarity with embedded communication protocols: CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, etc
· Proficient with analog circuit simulation tools such as LTspice
· Skilled with tools for code management and continuous integration: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira
· Strong laboratory skills for prototyping and debugging embedded systems
· Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
· Familiarity with relevant standards and certifications in aerospace, defense or automotive industries (DO-178, ARP4754, ISO26262)

· Good communicator with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
